What’s for Lunch Today?

Text & illustrations by Katerina Poltorak

A wiggly, munchy story about a child, who is very picky with his food.

After a whole day of running and playing, a little boy is starving. He opens the pot… and sees broccoli! Yuck — he hates broccoli.
But wait! A tiny worm pops up for a lunch too and starts eating it, saying, “Yummy!” Then a bird swoops in to feast on the worm, then a cat, a lion and even a dinosaur come looking for a lunch. Initially they all want to eat each other – but eat broccoli instead!
The boy thinks the broccoli is all gone and gets grumpy… but surprise! There’s still plenty left. With silly twists, expressive illustrations, and a funny food chain, this story makes even eating broccoli into an adventure.
