Can You Reach a Rainbow?

Text by Roman Fishman, illustrated by Victoria Stebleva

Did you know that according to Irish folklore, leprechauns hide pots of gold at the end of rainbows?

What is a rainbow? Why does reflected white light turns into different colors? Seven colors, following the same order, always make a rainbow –why is that? Readers will learn how a little piece of glass helped scientists examine the universe and how a rainbow allows us to sneak a peek into neighboring galaxies. Finally, the experiment at the end of the book teaches the reader how to make their own rainbow.
